According to studies, the highest achievers have written their goals and reviewed it regularly.  I got this very cute infographic from Leonie Dawson.

Why is it so important to set your goals? Here are Leonie’s 6 reasons.

  • When we don’t get clarity around where we’ve been and where we want to do, we get stuck in the same old place & same old routine.
  • We need to spend time dreaming up our vision.
  • We need to let go of all the old past stuff & be grateful for it so we can move onwards.
  • We need delicious, probing questions to help us get to the soul of what it is we need.
  • We need support systems to help us make it happen.
  • We need guidance + advice to propel us into the direction of our dreams.

I joined Amber’s Planathon 2015 this year mainly for my goal setting plans. Amber is one of my long-time clients for virtual assistant (Head over her website. She rocks!). She holds this Planathon party, an event for goal-setting and short-term planning for success. Anyway, I joined this and realized that short-term (3-months) goals and plans are what I exactly need to take off for next year.

As you see, I already started with building our website. It has been sitting idle for the longest time, and I decided (finally!) that it needs a make-over and some push for work. As of this blog, the website is still under continuous up-do.

Every year, I buy a planner, the Belle de Jour (BDJ) Planner. I have been using this since 2009, and it is, so far, the best goal-setting planner and activity sheets I have encountered (at least here in the Philippines). I recently learned from one of my co-planathoners about a similar (and more ideal for me) planner, but I bought BDJ planner first, and so I use this. This is the other planner that I’m sure gonna use for 2016.

Enough said, I’m going to take off my 2015 blog with this post, and a review of the BDJ Planner. Head over here for the review.

Remind me on October that I will buy the Leonie Dawson planner for my 2016 Goal Setting.
